Eset 6

Tip: If u r concerned about security, then i'll advice u to install Eset 4 instead of Eset 6 because both provide same protection again viruses and malwares.... Both have same base GUI set up of catching and attacking viruses...Both have same Virus Signature Database....

I'm recommending Eset 4 because it's very silent, doesn't need any registry editing, doesn't need any activator and offline update works flawlessly....Still final decision is urs..

Current Version: 6.0.308.0

 Follow These Steps :

#1. Uninstall any other previous version and install setup of Eset V6..

#2. Reboot your computer in safe mode.

#3. Open Pure Fix and click on "Enable" and then close pure fix..

#4. Open "Registry Editor".

• In Windows 7, click on start button and write regedit in "search program and files bar" and select regedit from above

• In Windows Xp, click on "Start" and then click "run"and then type regedit and click Ok.

#5. Double click on "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" then click  on "SOFTWARE",  then on "Eset",  then on "Eset Security", then on "Current Version", then on "Info"

#6. On the right hand side of Registry Editor, search for "PackageFeatures"and double click on it, change the value data to 1 (by default, it is 53)

#7. Restart ur computer in normal mode and then download the update file from here....Extract that file and copy the address of that folder..

#8. Open Eset and press F5, a new set up window will open..

#9. On the left side, there will be some categories. Double click on “Update” and then select “Update" from the extended list..

#10. On the right side, click on “Edit” and paste the address of the folder (that you copied in Step 7) in the “Update Servers” directory. Click on “add” and then “ok” twice to return to the Eset.

#11. Click on “Update” and then “Update Virus Signature Database”.

Eset is activated and able to update offline as well, but you’ll notice that the main screen of Eset is blank...If that bothers you then proceed with the following step:

#12. Restart in safe mode and perform step 4, 5 and 6 (mentioned above) again but this time you have to write “53” in the “Value data”

Note: If you perform step 12, then everytime you want to update your ESET, you need to change the value data to “1”...
